PH24632: USING RBD 9.5.1.1 IN TANDEM WITH RATIONAL LICENSE KEY SERVER IS NOT RELEASING LICENSES WHEN THEY BECOME INACTIVE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When using floating licenses handled by Rational License Key
  Server (RLKS) with 9.5.1.1 its observed there is an increase in
  number of concurrent used licenses as those that should be
  released due to inactivity are not being released.
  
  Additionally where there is no network connection and in turn no
  access to license key servers we should be able to use RBD
  temporarily for some hours but instead RBD throws an error
  dialog stating RBD license is required and closes all Projects.
