APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In IDz v14.2 when users connect to their z/OS system, expand the
connection and select MVS Files under the connection the server
level in the properties panel is incorrect.

Recreation steps:
1.  Establish a connection to the host using port 1234
2.  Disconnect from the host and establish a connection using
port 5678.

Workaround:
None

Local fix

  • NA

Problem summary

  • The server version that gets displayed in the property sheet
gets cached and when reconnecting to a different port the cached
 value is not replaced with a new value.

Problem conclusion

  • The server version for an RSE host is cached after its first
connect in a session but the cached needs to be cleared after a
disconnect.
