Why you not able to add operation to activity diagram with argument direction is "Inout"

Question & Answer

Question

Why you not able to add operation to activity diagram with argument direction is "Inout"?

Answer

You can only use bi-directional pins in State-orientated activity diagrams (Activity::General::SimulationMode = StateOrientated).

So In Rhapsody C++ if you change the SimulationMode property to StateOrientated then you can use the InOut pin.

Rhapsody In C only lets you use state-orientated activities. That is, there is no Activity::General::SimulationMode property in RhapsodyInC.

So in Rhapsody C it  is possible to bi-directional pin Rhapsody C.
