APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After you upgrade to IBM Business Automation Workflow 19.0.0.2
or 19.0.0.3, the customized Default Instance Details service
from a Heritage Process Portal process app is no longer used as
the default instance details UI service.

Local fix

  • 1. Copy the customized version of Default Instance Details from
Heritage Process Portal to a toolkit
2. Add the toolkit as a dependency to each process app
containing processes that instance details UI need to be
customized.
3. Using the Process editor, refer to the Default Instance
Details as the Default Detail UI on the Views tab for each of
the processes in a process app.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available or will be available that adds a
configuration option. Using this configuration option, you can
specify that IBM Workflow Center or IBM Workflow Server is to
use the custom Default Instance Details UI service.

To use Default Instance Details from deprecated Heritage Process
Portal process app, you can add the
<default-instance-details-ui>TWP/Default Instance
Details</default-instance-details-ui> setting to the server
section of your 100Custom.xml file.

To customize the Default Instance Details UI service used in
19.0.0.2 and later versions, copy Instance the Details UI
Service Template service from the Dashboards toolkit to any
project, customize it, and use the "default-instance-details-ui"
 setting to configure Workflow Center or IBM Workflow Server to
use the customized service.
