IJ24059: ISSUES WITH 'SENDMAIL' AS NON-ROOT USER ON 7200-04 APPLIES TO AIX 7200-04 20/05/15 PTF PECHANGE

Error description

  * USERS AFFECTED:
  * Systems running the AIX 7200-04 Technology Level
  * with bos.net.tcp.sendmail at 7.2.4.0.
    **************************************************************
  * ERROR DESCRIPTION:
  * In AIX 7200-04, sendmail was updated to version 8.15.2.
  * However this updated version did not allow non-root users to
  * send mail in the same ways they could prior to the update.
  * Previously documented steps to enable email for non-root
  * users were incorrect and incomplete.
  *
  * The fix below will update the sendmail command to work for
  * non-root users by default.
  * Any previously documented steps to enable mail for non-root
  * users are not optimal.

  * RECOMMENDATION:
  * Install APAR IJ24059.
  * Prior to fix availability, an interim fix is available from
  * either
  * ftp://aix.software.ibm.com/aix/ifixes/ij24059/
  * https://aix.software.ibm.com/aix/ifixes/ij24059/
  * The ifix can be installed using Live Update (LU).
  * If LU is not used, installation of the ifix does not require
  * a
  * reboot.
