    The following error can occur,
    java.lang.IllegalStateException: getManagedConnection: illegal
    state exception. State = STATE_INACTIVE MCW = d3ce17fb
    at
    com.ibm.ejs.j2c.MCWrapper.getManagedConnection(MCWrapper.java:68
    0)
    at
    com.ibm.ejs.j2c.FreePool.getMCWrapperFromMatch(FreePool.java:128
    when a connection is being used on one thread, but on another
    thread being destroy due to a connection failure.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This will reduce the number of failures being logged by
    processing failed connections faster when multithreaded access
    occurs to the same managed connection.
    
    The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
    8.5.5.18 and 9.0.5.3.  For more information, see 'Recommended
