Error description
After a restart of the Accelerator component (for example, triggered by reset, update, or reactivation of the LPAR), the "Accelerator component health status" reports that "Appliance data service" fails to start and the Accelerator is not able to process requests anymore.
Local fix
The issue happens because of an active try&buy license for Db2 Wh which expires three months after initial installation of the database. Re-install or "reset with wipe" enables the license for another three month (but data would be lost and reload required). In a remote maintenance session IDAA support can apply a correct (permanent) license file, especially for a system which is currently in failed state. IDAA 7.5.0.2 will contain a correct license file. We strongly recommend to upgrade to this maintenance level once available.
Problem summary
The try & buy license for Db2 Wh included in maintenance level 7.5.0 and 7.5.0.1 has been replaced with a regular license not expiring.
Problem conclusion
The issue has been fixed with maintenance level 7.5.0.2.
