PI95402: QUERY MONITOR V3.3 ADDED MONITORING PROFILE LINES NOT BEING SAVED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Profile updates in CQM V3.3  may not be saved in monitoring
  profiles that were used in previous CQM versions. A newly
  added profile line with updates made to the panel entries
  may not be saved due to a possible incompatible record
  length condition detected by VSAM.
  This APAR adds code to capture VSAM errors that may be
  occurring and display appropriate messages reporting the
  condition to the user.
  

Local fix

• Create a new VSAM monitoring profile dataset using the
  SCQMSAMP(CQMPROFS) sample job. Populate the new monitoring
  profile dataset from the previous monitoring profile dataset
  using IDCAMS REPRO. The records will be the correct length
  and the user will be able to complete updates made to the
  new monitoring profile successfully.
