APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Data Streamer does not acknowledge connection close requests
    from TCP based subscribers.

Local fix

  • BYPASS/CIRCUMVENTION:
    1-Enable the parameter tcp_keep_alive in your Logstash pipeline
    configuration file (input sub-section) . Below is an example I
    tested in my env:
    input {
       tcp {
       host => "xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx"
       port => pppp1
       tcp_keep_alive => true
       codec => multiline {
       pattern => "^\{"
       negate => true
       what   => "previous"
       max_lines => 1000
    }
    }
    Such parameter allows Logstash to keep the connection opened and
    so prevent the timeout of the session because inactivity

    When the Data Streamer receives a request to close the current
    connection to the subscriber, the Data Streamer does not
    promptly close the connection.

Problem conclusion

  • CDP v1.1 is updated to allow the Data Streamer to complete the
    TCP shutdown sequence when requested to by the subscriber.
