Abstract

Use the IBM Tape Diagnostic Tool (ITDT) to view detailed information about your devices that are controlled by the IBM device drivers.

Complete the following steps to access the Fix Central portal and download the most recent version of ITDT:

Note: IBM maintains the latest levels of ITDT and related documentation on Fix Central. Information on using ITDT is available in the PDF document IBM Tape Device Drivers Installation and User's Guide. Procedure

  1. Open the following URL in your web browser: http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral.
  2. Select System Storage from the Product Group menu.
  3. Select Tape Systems from the System Storage menu.
  4. Select Tape device drivers and software from the Tape Systems menu.
  5. Select Tape Diagnostic Tool ITDT from the Tape drivers and software menu.
  6. Select your operating system from the Platform menu.
  7. Click Continue.
  8. Narrow the search of available downloads according to your criteria. (This step can be skipped.)
  9. Click Continue to view the list of available downloads.
  10. Select the version that you want to download.
  11. Follow the instructions on the Fix Central download page to download the new version.
