IBM Content Navigator cannot connect to Content Manager OnDemand V9.0 if the Web Enablement Kit (ODWEK) is installed on a non-default directory

Abstract

If you install the OnDemand Web Enablement Kit (ODWEK) in directory other than the default directory on AIX, Linux, or Linux for System z, IBM Content Navigator cannot connect to your IBM Content Manager OnDemand repositories.

To connect to the Content Manager OnDemand server, you must add a custom property to your Content Manager OnDemand configuration in the IBM Content Navigator administration tool.


To add the custom property:
  1. Open the administration tool.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click the Content Manager OnDemand tab.
  4. Scroll down to the Custom Properties section and click New.
  5. Enter the new custom property name ODWEK_INSTALL_DIR. 
  6. Enter the fully qualified path of your OnDemand Web Enablement Kit installation, for example: = /opt/IBM/odwek/V9.0.
  7. Click Create.
  8. Click Save to save your changes to the settings.
