- Hardware
- 2 GB available hard disk space
- 1 GB memory (2 GB recommended)
- 2 GHz Pentium IV processor equivalent or better

System requirements for IBM Optim Query Tuner for DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows
To use Optim Query Tuner for DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows, you must have one of the following DB2 database servers:
- IBM DB2 9.1.8 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows or later.

To use Optim Query Tuner for DB2 for z/OS or Optim Query Workload Tuner for DB2 for z/OS, you must have the following software installed on your z/OS system:
- IBM DB2 UDB for z/OS Version 8, DB2 Version 9.1 for z/OS, or DB2 Version 10 for z/OS
- IBM SDK for Java 2 Technology Edition, Version 1.4, or later
