Installation Instructions
Before installing this fix pack, review the following technote for dependencies and installation requirements: Updating an IBM Rational Team 7.1.x, 7.0.3.x, or 7.0.2.x installation through IBM Installation Manager. For information on using WebSphere Application Server and IBM HTTP Server version 8.0 with this fix pack, see Installing WebSphere Application Server version 8 for RequisiteWeb version 7.1.3.1 or later or technote 1569987. |
There are two options available for updating to this fix pack:
The steps for these options are described as Options 1 and 2, below. Before beginning the upgrade, close Rational RequisitePro. If you are upgrading an installation with the Web components (RequisiteWeb), perform the following tasks:
If you previously customized the Rational Web Platform for RequisiteWeb make copies of the config.txt, httpd.conf, ssl.conf and any other files you modified. After you finish upgrading the RequisiteWeb installation, restore the copy of your files to the folders they were previously located. After upgrading, if you cannot open the RequisiteWeb help, you might need to recreate the cache as described in the technote Unable to open RequisiteWeb help after performing an update. Option 1. Update online using a remote IBM repository
Option 2. Download the update repository and update locally
