PI21552 resolves the following problem:
ERROR DESCRIPTION:
Compatibility support is needed in IBM WebSphere Application Server V7.0, V8.0 and V8.5 with the application of z/OS APAR OA43650. This compatibility support ensures symlinks to authorized modules are not used during server startup from provided shell scripts.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
After applying z/OS APAR OA43650 it is no longer possible to start servers using the provided shell
scripts
RECOMMENDATION:
None
With z/OS APAR OA43650, when starting servers using the startServer.sh shell script or when a node agent is started automatically by the addNode.sh shell script, the following error will occur:
BPXP029I OPEN ERROR FOR FILE PATH 210
.../AppServer/lib/s390-31/bboorb
DEVICE ID 13 INODE 248.
followed by an EC6 abend with reason code 0594E04B.
PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
Code was added to ensure that the authorized modules used by the provided shell scripts to start the server are not loaded from a path that contains symlinks.
APAR PI21552 is currently targeted for inclusion in Fix Packs 7.0.0.35, 8.0.0.10, 8.5.5.4 of WebSphere Application Server on z/OS.
