Abstract

SupportPac CS12 provides sample CICSPlex SM (CPSM) Batched Repository Update material for DUMPing the contents of the Data Repository and much more.

SupportPac CS12 provides useful sample utilities for IBM CICSPlex System Manager (CICSPlex SM), such as:
  • CICSPlex SM Batched Repository (BATCHREP) update material, used for DUMPing the contents of the Data Repository.
     
  • CICSPlex SM Batched Repository update material, used for adding definitions for:
    - Starter Set Real Time Analysis (RTA)
    - Starter Set Monitoring Services (MON)
    - Starter Set Workload Management (WLM)
    ...without SPECs, Groups.
     
  • A PL/I application program that causes (forces) a Short On Storage (SOS) condition in a CICS region. This sample is useful for testing CICSPlex SM's RTA and WLM functions.
     
  • CICS XTSREQ user exit for routing Temporary Storage requests to a Queue-owning Region (QOR).

Prerequisites

Users of this SupportPac need to be familiar with the administration and operation of CICSPlex SM in the CICS Transaction Server for z/OS environment.

The SupportPac requires:
  • CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V2.3, or later

Installation Instructions

To download the SupportPac:
  1. Click on the download link below and save the file to your local machine.
  2. Extract the saved file to a temporary directory on your local machine. This will create the necessary installation, documentation, and license files.
  3. Follow the instructions in the included documentation to complete installation of this SupportPac on your host system.
