Filter dialog no longer offers filtering the report with "starts with", "ends with", "contains" operations

Question

In Cognos BI version10, when creating a report and selecting 'Filter for Report' on opening the Filter option, there was a drop down menu beside the 'Search' which provided the options to search by "starts with", "ends with", "contains" operation. In Cognos Analytics 11, this functionality is no longer available. Is there a way to reinstate it?

This functionality has been removed within reports. However an RFE has been logged on which you can vote to have it reinstated:
