Without using the ikeyman, is there another way to check when the cryptographic keys for Cognos will expire?

Follow these steps...
1) Navigate to the <install_directory>\temp\cam
2) Open the freshness file in any text editor
3) This will give the value of when the keys were last refreshed, keys by default last for 365 days. However, this can be adjusted by opening the Cognos Configuration and selecting cryptography, the field 'Common symmetric key lifetime in days' states how often the keys will be refreshed.
It is important to note that, if you have a distributed install, the keys for each component, for example, the gateway and application tier, may have different expiry dates.
