APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A time-out message HPSG2011E, followed by messages
  HPSG2006E, HPSG0002E, and HPSG2011E, is issued in the IPR
  Driver and the reorganization of the database is aborted
  with the error message HPSG0011E (RC=16, RSN=80800005)
  if all of the following conditions are met:
    - The database has a secondary index
    - INDEXBLD=YES is specified in the HPSIN data set
    - DBRC is active
    - SWAP=Y is not specified in the EXEC parameter for the
      IPR Driver job step.
  

Local fix

• The temporary fix is to specify the SWAP=Y parameter in the
  EXEC parameter for the IPR Driver job step.

  The following problems of IPR Driver are fixed by the
  maintenance provided by this APAR:
  1. A time-out message HPSG2011E, followed by messages HPSG2006E,
     HPSG0002E, and HPSG2011E, is issued in the IPR Driver and the
     reorganization of the database is aborted with the error
     message HPSG0011E (RC=16, RSN=80800005) if all of the
     following conditions are met:
     - IMS Version 8 or later is used
     - The database has a secondary index
     - INDEXBLD=YES is specified in the HPSIN data set
     - DBRC is active
     - SWAP=Y is not specified in the EXEC parameter for the IPR
       Driver job step.
  2. IPR Driver ends normally with a return code of zero even if
     ABEND0C4, ABEND0C1, or other unpredictable error occurs in
     IMS resource cleanup because of the problems reported in the
     IMS APARs PQ97765 and PQ99185.
  

Problem conclusion

• 1. IPR Driver has been modified so that SYSEVENT OKSWAP will be
     issued after the control is returned from DSPURX00. The
     APF-authorization of all libraries concatenated to the
     STEPLIB DD statement is necessary to activate the fix
     supplied by the PTF because of the use of SYSEVENT macro. If
     you cannot APF-authorize the STEPLIB, specify SWAP=Y in the
     EXEC parameter for the IPR Driver, which can also resolve the
     problem.
  2. IPR Driver has been modified so that an ABEND during IMS
     resource cleanup processing can be detected and that IPR
     Driver will end with a return code of 16 in such a case.
