Question

Can a carrier service deliver as well as transfer on a particular day in IBM Sterling Selling and Fulfillment Suite?

Cause

You want to know if a carrier service can deliver on a particular day, it does not mean it can transfer on the same day too.

Answer

Transfer days need to be configured separately from delivery days.

For example:
Carrier Transfers on WeekDays ( M T W TH F) and Delivers on just Saturday.
Delivery Lead Time 48 Hrs
Node Pick up schedule at 18:00 on Thu only
Node is working 24 Hrs

Assume the ShipDate is Thu 18:00. Now the Carrier Service has only 6 Hrs left on Thu and 24 Hrs on Fri.
So After Fri 30 Hrs are elapsed out of 48 hrs Lead Time. But as Carrier Service does not transfer on Sat and Sun so the remaining 18 Hrs will be elapsed on Monday. So, Monday will be eligible day for delivery. But as carrier delivers only on Saturday, so delivery will be pushed to next Saturday.
