Can you explain the purpose of IBM LFA uses port 1920? What is the IBM Log Analysis services that will be affected after disabling it?

Answer

The port 1920 is used by Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server in communicating with IBM Tivoli Monitoring Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server. Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server is not use within context of IBM Log Analysis.

Disabling this port does not interrupt the local & remote data ingestion via IBM Tivoli Monitoring LFA to LA. Therefore, there is no service impacted.
