Errors CM-REQ-4313 and CM-SYS-5001 running a full Content Store deployment export

Troubleshooting


Problem

We are trying to do a full content store export in Cognos Analytics 11.
It is failing with these errors:  CM-REQ-4313 An error occurred during an export operation and 
CM-SYS-5001 A Content Manager inernal error occurred.
A partial content store import is successful, but not the full content store export.

Resolving The Problem

Set the following advanced setting on the Content Manager service in Cognos Administration using the steps below: CM.TREEEXPORT_BATCHSIZE with a value of 0   
Note: This advanced parameter only needs to be set on the environment where you are doing the export and not on the target import environment.
    In IBM Cognos Administration, on the Status tab, click System.
    In the Scorecard pane, from the change view menu of the current view, click Services > Content Manager.
    Tip: The current view is one of All servers, All server groups, All dispatchers, or Services.
    From the ContentManagerService Actions menu, click Set properties.
    Click the Settings tab.
    Click Edit next to Advanced Settings.
    Select Override the settings acquired from the parent entry.
    In the Parameter column, type the parameter name.
    Type  CM.TREEEXPORT_BATCHSIZE
    In the Value column, type 0
    Click OK.
    On the Set properties page, click OK.

Make a full database backup of your current content store database prior to doing the export.  Then run the full content export after setting the advanced setting per the instructions above.
