The IBM® Tivoli® Monitoring Agent for IBM Maximo® lets you monitor aspects of your Maximo infrastructure and applications. The aspects that you can monitor include server memory statistics, cron tasks, user connections, database connections, installed products, licenses, and other system information
Note: This is for the Maximo 7.1 releases.
For monitoring with Maximo 7.6.x releases, use the Maximo Management Interface (MMI)

Steps to deploy the agent:
1. Download from here the ITM_Agent_for_Maximo_711.zip file and extract the contents.
2. Run the downloaded license file: install.exe. (You must accept the terms of the license agreement to proceed any further. The install program copies the license files to your hard disk.)
You can now install the Tivoli Monitoring Agent for Maximo file and review the ITM for Maximo User Guide file. This guide provides information on using the agent after it has been installed and deployed. Within the download there is an English version and translated versions in French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, and German.
To install the Monitoring Agent for Maximo, do the following steps:
1. Decompress the downloaded agentbuilder.zip file to the root drive of the server on which you installed Tivoli Monitoring.
2. In the Manage Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Services window, stop all the agents. At a command prompt, change to the ‘...\install\agents\maximo’ directory.
3. Enter the command installira c:\ibm\itm (where c:\ibm\itm is your Tivoli Monitoring home directory).
4. When the install completes, an ‘Install... successful’ message will be displayed

Requirements
This agent requires Maximo version 7.1.1.6 or higher. It also requires IBM® Tivoli Monitoring 6.2.2 or higher running on Microsoft Windows.
