Building catalog search index throws YCP85_0010 exception

Problem

Attempts to build catalog search index in IBM Sterling Order Management leads to the YCP85_0010 exception for directory merge.

Cause

CatalogSearchConfigProperties.xml is not updated with required locale.

Diagnosing The Problem

YCP85_0010 error comes when user tried to build the Search Index after switching the base locale from en_US to fr_FR/de_DE or any other local . It happens because OOB has only en_US locale defined in CatalogSearchConfigProperties.xml.

So when you switch the base locale from en_US to fr_FR/de_DE, you need to extend the CatalogSearchConfigProperties.xml to have fr_FR/de_De locale in order to build the search index successfully. If this is not done and the index is triggered, YCP85_0010 error will be thrown.

Resolving The Problem

Extending CatalogSearchConfigProperties.xml file with other used local should resolve the issue.
