**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The clearClassCache.bat script may * * fail to log results when executed in * * European locales. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** By default, the clearClassCache.bat script logs results to a file whose name it composes from the current system date and time. The script will fail and emit the following unexpected message whenever it does not create a valid log file name. The system cannot find the path specified. This problem may occur when running the script in locales where system date and time collected by the script has an unexpected format. Subsequently, the script wrongly parses the information into an invalid log file name and the script fails. The problem is resolved by modifying the script to normalize the format of the date information, collected over all locales, before creating the log file name.
Problem conclusion
Apply APAR PI58498 to enable clearClassCache.bat to log results when executed in all locales. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 8.5.5.13 and 9.0.0.6.
