Planning Analytics Workspace validation error on the IBM Cognos BI Dispatcher URI

Troubleshooting


Problem

While attempting to validate the CAM configuration in the IBM Planning Analytics Workspace Administration Tool an error is encountered for the IBM Cognos BI Dispatcher URI. The error message contains the following: Error: Server responded with status code 599 CAMNamespace Client CM-REQ-4342 An error occurred with the client. error caf CM-REQ-4159 Content Manager returned an error in the response header. The error "cmAuthenticateFailed CM-CAM-4005 Unable to authenticate. Check your security directory server connection and confirm the credentials entered at login." can be found in the response SOAP header.

Resolving The Problem

This error can be safely ignored with no impact to Planning Analytics Workspace being able to use CAM authentication.

To completely prevent the error during the Planning Analytics Workspace Administration Tool validation process the presentation service should only be enabled on the Cognos BI Server dispatcher that Planning Analytics Workspace was provided for CAM authentication.
