Problem conclusion
This APAR delivers enhancements which will clarify how the ADB2PSTM panel and EXECUTE command works: 1. The options list on panel ADB2PSTM to mention: DB2 Admin is about to execute the statement below. You have asked to be prompted before DB2 Admin executes this type of statement. What do you want to do now (Add an A to process all DDL statements. A is supported for options 1, 3, and 4. For example 1A - Execute all statements). 2. The options list on panel ADB2PSTM, 'Statement Execution Prompt', is changed: a - If there is only one SQL statement pending, the user will see: CAN - Cancel execution of this statement. b - If there is more than one SQL statement pending, the user will see: CAN - Cancel execution of this and any remaining statements. 3. Help panel ADBHPSTM 'HELP: Statement Execution Prompt', is changed: CAN - Cancel execution of this and any remaining statments. Any statements that have already been executed are not undone. 4. Help panel ADBHEDD2, 'Edit/Run DDL Statements', is changed to mention: a - Use the CANCEL editor command to leave the edit panel without saving or running the SQL statement. Any statements that have previously been executed are not undone. b - Use the EXECUTE command to run the set of DDL statements. When the EXECUTE process is complete or is cancelled, the panel ADBPEDD2 'Edit DDL Statements' is shown again. This will allow you to perform additional editing actions, such as changing the object names and executing again or using ISPF editor commands to save the DDL in a data set.
