HTTP Error 404.7 Not Found when user click for "enable/disable" schedule from Cognos Analytics administration page using gateway URL.

Troubleshooting


Problem

Cognos Analytics requires to allow unlisted file name extensions, unlisted verbs and high-bit characters at Request Filtering if user have restricted or blocked server environment with MIME type.

Symptom

HTTP 404.7 Not Found, The request filtering module is configured to deny the file extension from IIS Server failed trace log

Cause

Request Filtering does not allow unlisted file name extensions, unlisted verbs and high-bit characters

Diagnosing The Problem

Turn on Trace for "Failed Request Tracing Rules" enable 400-505 error range

Resolving The Problem

1. Open IIS server
2. Request filtering from Server name
3. Edit Feature Setting
Check Allow unlisted file name extensions
Check Allow unlisted verbs
Check Allow high-bit characters
4. Click Okay
5. Restart IIS server
