Question

How do you restart the Integrated Management Module (IMM or IMM2) on a QRadar appliance?

Answer

Both IMM and IMM2 can be restarted remotely by using one of the following three options. The preferred method will vary depending on your specific usage circumstances.


Web Interface

  1. Log in to the IMM or IMM2 web interface of your appliance.
  2. Select the restart option appropriate for your version of IMM.
    • On appliances with IMM, click Restart IMM, located on the menu on the left.


    • On appliances with IMM2, click IMM Management > Restart IMM, available on the top menu bar.



QRadar Command Line
  1. Connect to the QRadar Appliance by using SSH.
  2. Issue the following command:
    /opt/ibm/toolscenter/asu/asu64 rebootimm


IMM Command Line
  1. Connect to the IMM or IMM2 command line interface by using SSH. The connection will use the same username and password combination that you use for your IMM web UI.
  2. Execute the following command:
    resetsp
