Commit Option On TM1Web Portal Is Greyed Out. Users Cannot Commit Their Node.

Troubleshooting

Problem

Commit option on TM1Web portal is greyed out. Users Cannot Commit Their Node.

Cause

As per design, wherever one takes ownership of the hierarchy node, the commit button will be enabled at that particular level.

Diagnosing The Problem

1. Take ownership at parent level.

If one takes ownership at the parent level,  this is as per design as one is working in mult-node
editing and thus, must commit at the parent level which one took ownership.

2. Take ownership at a child node level and the commit button is enabled.

Resolving The Problem

This is as per design. Wherever, one takes ownership of the hierarchy node (parent or child), the commit button will be enabled at that particular level.

NOTE:
In order to release the commit button on a parent node level and have commit available for selection at the child level---- Have another user take ownership of the parent and then one can take ownership at the child level and commit will be enabled at the child level.
