Question

How do I show inherited attributes within a class diagram for Rational Rhapsody?

Cause

By default, only attributes declared in a class are shown.

Answer

1) Open a class diagram within your model.

2) Create a Class object.

3) Right click on the class, and navigate to 'Display Options'. Navigate to the 'Compartments' tab.

4) Under Compartment, select 'Attribute' from the drop-down menu.

5) Within the 'Show' section, check the 'Inherited' checkbox. Then select the 'All' Radio button to have it display by default. Select 'OK' to close this window.

6) Right click on the class, and select 'Make/Restore Default'. Make sure the checkbox for 'Display Options' has been selected, and choose whether you want this to be the standard for the Diagram, Package, or Project, by selecting the relevant radio button.
