Problem

Seeing error message: Configuration file xqe.providers.xml not found in every data pane

Symptom

Dispatcher works OK. Error only appears in the gateway view

After installing the optional gateway component, getting a bunch of XQE errors in Cognos Connection in the new Glass UI of Analytics

Cause

xqe.providers.xml file doesn't exist on the Content Manager server. The gateway has to point
to the app tier dispatcher. There was a misconfiguration, the web tier 'pointed at' the CM, not an app node.

Environment

Distributed install on Linux RHEL

1 gateway, 1 app tier, 1 CM

Diagnosing The Problem

Resolving The Problem

In order for the URL to
resolve correctly, the IBM Cognos Configuration on the Server1_Gateway
server needs to be configured such that the Dispatcher URIs for gateway
entry is configured to point to the Server2_Application server.
