Guardium cli command 'generate-role-layout' does not work in v10 Guardium

Troubleshooting

Problem

The Guardium cli command 'generate-role-layout' doesn't seem to work in v10 Guardium. Why? Is there any equivalent command or method to change layout for a user/role?

Cause

The Guardium v8.2/v9 CLI command 'generate-role-layout' generates a new layout for an existing role, based on the layout for the specified user. Once the new role layout has been defined, any users who are assigned that role before they log in for the first time, will receive the layout for that role.

However, in Guardium V10 the GUI has a different design in terms of how the layout works. The cli command 'generate-role-layout' is obsolete in v10 Guardium.

Resolving The Problem

Starting with V10, role layouts can be directly managed from the following places:

1) Use 'accessmgr' to log in GUI -> Role Browser -> Customize Navigation Menu
2) Use 'admin' role user to log in GUI -> banner user drop down -> Customize User/Role->Role
3) Use 'admin' role user to log in GUI -> Setup -> Tools and Views -> Customize User/Role->Role

The modifications made from those locations will be applicable to all users of the role.
