How can I generate dependency in makefile for an external file in IBM Rational Rhapsody?
Cause
You would like the dependency to be generated as a part of the makefile
Answer
Apply the steps below in order to achieve the requirement:
- Add the external file to the component
- Select the type of the file as others
- Give the path for the file
- Add class to the package
- Go to view-> browser display option-> Show source artifacts
- Add new source artifacts to the class.
- Add dependency to the sourceartifacts for the external file and set the stereotype as usage.
- Generate the code and check in the makefile for the external file dependency would be added.
