Question & Answer

Question

Can you use java 1.7 with IBM Sterling Call Center and Store 9.2.0.28?

Answer

Yes, you can use Java 1.7 with Sterling Call Center and Store 9.2.

Since Java version 1.6.0.18 is supported with Sterling Call Center (COM) and Sterling Store (SOM) 9.2,
you have to ensure that you pass the -version:"<release>" jvm arguments to enforce
class compatibility to a particular version while running on jdk7.

Add the following param to the -vmargs of com.ini file.
----------------
-version:release
----------------

Steps to follow:

  1. Replace the JRE folder with new JRE7 under com/JRE fodler.

  2. Add the below params in com.ini file
    -vm=.\jre\bin\javaw
    -vmargs= -version:"1.6.0_18"
