When to use the convertB2BData Utility

Troubleshooting

Problem

How can I tell if we need to run the convertB2BData.bat/sh utility in our environment?

Environment

Windows, UNIX

Resolving The Problem

The convertB2BData.bat/sh is just an optional utility script that brings stored data in the EVENTS table prior to v5.2.1 of Control Center to the new tables in Control Center versions v5.4.2 and above.

The convertB2BData.bat/sh will read the EVENTS table on a previous version and split the data into 3 new tables.

· Sterling File Gateway activity (FG_STATS_LOG)

· Protocol activity (AFT_STATS_LOG)

· Business Process activity (BP_STATS_LOG)

If we do not want to bring the old Events data into the new version, then we do not need to run the convertB2BData.bat/sh.

These new tables will be created automatically during the installation/configcc.
