IBM Support

How to turn off animation for an operation.

Question & Answer

Question

I want to stop certain operations from animating (i.e. appearing in an animated sequence diagram). I was expecting CG::Operation::Animate unchecked to do this but it doesn't seem to have an effect.

Cause

The property CG::Operation::Animate not having an effect on the animation of an operation.

Answer

The Animate property is a part of mechanism, which is called partial animation. This feature allows users to switch off animation of some parts of class (like operation, attributes, arguments of operation). It was implemented for C++ language and allowed in Rhapsody for Developer only.

It is not supported in Rhapsody for System Designer or Rhapsody Architect. You can only switch off animation for whole class in these editions.
