IBM Support

How to check which Central Manager belongs to a Managed Unit?

Question & Answer

Question

Is there any way or command that I can check which Central Manager that a management unit belongs to? If I already know my management unit information.

Answer

From GUI you can check on right top of the screen:

From CLI, there is 2 different ways:

1- When you run any "support must_gather ...." command on a guardium appliance, the diagnostics which are generated has a file called ADMINCONSOLE.txt

If you open this ADMINCONSOLE.txt file, search for "MANAGER_IP" parameter which is the IP Address of the Manager unit which manages this Managed unit.

2- Login to CLI of a Managed Unit. Execute the command "support show netstat all". The output will be pretty long :

In this case, gtest02.guard.swg.usma is the hostname of a managed unit and gtest01.guard.swg.usm:mysql is the hostname of Central Manager.
