How do you export a previous policy version for the QRadar Network Security (XGS) from SiteProtector?
Answer
There may be times when Technical Support requests a previous copy of a policy for the XGS. The Support File that is generated on the XGS only contains the version that is applied to the device. To get a copy of a previous version, follow the instructions below:
- In the SiteProtector Console, go to the Agent view.
- Right-click the XGS agent where you need to export a previous policy version and click Manage Policy.
- In the Policy view, find and click the Repository that the agent is part of. In the screen capture below, this is the Default Repository.
- In the upper-right pane, you see a comprehensive list of the policies that reside in the repository. Find and click the policy that you need to get a previous copy from. After clicking the policy, you will see all the previous policy versions appear in the bottom pane. In the example below, you can see the four versions that are available for the Administrator Settings policy.
- Find the particular version that you need, right-click that entry, and then click Export. Select your wanted directory to export it to and click Save.
- Gather the exported file from the directory that is specified in Step 5, and send the file to Technical Support for review.
