Error description
When using the WebSphere Message Broker IS02 SupportPac to gather statistical information for the Broker queue manager, the following error occurs: "Could not connect to Broker <queue manager name>. Connection will not be restored." Inspection of the Broker trace shows that the connection failed with completion code 2 and reason 2059 (MQRC_Q_MGR_NOT_AVAILABLE). An "AMQ9205: The host name supplied is not valid" error is also received.
Local fix
Manually remove the space from the file: --------------------------------------- 1) Shutdown the MQ Explorer. 2) Backup the file called 'MB_EMFModel.xmi' which is located by default under: "c:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\IBM\MQ Explorer\.meta data\.plugins\com.ibm.etools.wmadmin.broker.explorer" 3) Edit the file in a text editor. 4) Change the line: <locations HostName="ccucedev-app22.odc.vzwcorp.com "> to <locations HostName="ccucedev-app22.odc.vzwcorp.com"> This is the second of the location entries in the 'MB_EMFModel.xmi' file based on the previous files sent in. 5) Restart the MQ explorer.
