Error description
When a DBCS user tries to use character by character alignment for a field widget then the HF setting does not work anymore. If the user tries the word by word alignment then the HF does work correctly.
Local fix
Use Word by Word, which is the default, alignment for the field widget.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All DBCS customers using Character by * * Character alignment for field widgets * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When a DBCS field is configured in * * HATS to be aligned Character by * * Character * * instead of the default, which is word * * by the word, the field is not * * correctly displaying a Highlighted * * field. * * * * For example, the field is displayed as * * * * green instead of green highlight. * * * * This problem does not occur on a SBCS * * field, or when using word by word * * alignment. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The HATS FieldWidget code does not create an HF class in the DBCS stylesheet when a monospaced DBCS font is used with Character by Character alignment. Thus, the rendered field is not displaying as a highlighted field.
Problem conclusion
The FieldWidget.java code has been changed to add the HF class to the DBCS sytlesheet for a Character by Character alignment when monospaced font is used.
