Abstract
IBM is committed to providing our customers with high quality, innovative products. In order to deliver on this commitment, we periodically evaluate our product portfolio and elect to withdraw support for older product versions. Effective 30 April 2015, IBM will no longer offer support for Gentran:Server for Microsoft Windows versions 5.0j and 5.1, Gentran:Server for iSeries version 3.4, Gentran:Server for UNIX version 6.0.2 and Gentran for z/OS version 6.4.

In an ongoing effort to provide reliable high-quality products and services, IBM provides support and fixes to maintenance paying customers for the current and next previous product versions. Discontinuing support and publication of fixes for older versions of the product allows us to focus resources on enhancing product capabilities and support for more current versions, which are used by the vast majority of customers.
Per IBM’s end of support policies we intend to cease support and generation of fixes for the following Sterling B2B Gentran product versions:
Customers running these versions should migrate to the current version of Sterling Gentran to maintain support. IBM will continue to sell and support Sterling Gentran products. The following are the most up to date versions available for sale and migration.
If you are interested in exploring your upgrade needs and/or want to learn more about migrating to IBM Sterling® B2B Integrator, IBM's strategic on-premises B2B gateway or IBM’s Managed Services offerings, then:
1) Contact your Sales Rep who will verify your entitlements and upon verification, provide you a link to a download site where you can download the software and accept the IPLA
2) Log into the IBM Support Portal for Sterling B2B Integrator: http://www.ibm.com/support/entry/portal/Overview/Software/Other_Software/Sterling_B2B_Integrator
3) If you do not know your IBM Sales contact, please call 800-426-7080
