Error description
Problem description: If the Throttle feature is set to Throttle or Terminate for the Temp File Space, and the monitored free space goes below one of the thresholds, the DataPower appliance will restart and, in the process, might erase data on an attached persistent storage (e.g. the RAID disk).
Local fix
Workarounds: Do not throttle on the Temp File Space.
Problem summary
Affected are all DataPower appliances configured to use a persistent storage such as internal RAID or CompactFlash or external iSCSI or NFS. If the Throttle is set to monitor the Temporary filesystem and to restart when the space is low, at the moment this condition is met, the DataPower appliance might erase the attached persistent storage(s) in the restart process.
Problem conclusion
Fix is available in 4.0.2.15, 5.0.0.10 and 6.0.0.2. For a list of the latest fix packs available, please see: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21237631
