Problem
You are trying to delete a Datasource from an Assessment test definition in Tools/Assessment Builder using the graphic interface for Infosphere Guardium but you are unable to delete the Datasource.
Symptom
You cannot delete the Datasource. When you click on the cross icon to delete the Datasource, the Datasource remains in the list and nothing else happens. You do not get the prompt to confirm if you want to remove it from the list and the Apply button is disabled or grayed out
Cause
You are using a browser that has incompatibilities with this functionality. The issue has been observed with some Firefox V24 but it may also be present in other versions and other browsers. The issue does not occur with Firefox V17 (older version of Firefox) nor with Internet Explorer 8.
Diagnosing The Problem
Try a different browser, especially Internet Explorer 8. You will know that you are experiencing this issue if problem only occurs with certain browsers but not with others.
Resolving The Problem
Use a different browser such as Internet Explorer 8, or Firefox V17. Upgrading to Guardium version 9 can be another option as problem did not reproduce with Guardium 9 using the browsers mentioned in this article.
