Error description
Mediation Flow objects are not garbage collectable and stay on the heap for the lifetime of the JVM. By making creating the flow objects with weak references, they will be eligible for Garbage Collection when the heap is under stress.

Problem summary
Currently mediation flow objects stay on the heap for the lifetime of the JVM once they are created. If the server is long lived and there are many mediation modules or combination of mediation modules with different service interfaces then these objects can start filling up the heap. This APAR introduces a mechanism for releasing the flow objects in the SCA native container pools. The solution is to create the flow objects with weak references. With this approach the flow objects are now eligible for garbage collection when the heap is under stress.
Problem conclusion
The code was modified such that weak references are now used in this case. There are no known side effects associated with this fix. There is no known alternative workaround should you encounter this problem. This code fix was targeted to be included in the following fix packs: 7.0.0 Fix Pack 5 (v7.0.0.5) 7.5.1 (v7.5.1.0)
