Error description
When a stub file is being recalled, HSM for Windows opens a file to temporarily store the content of the stub file. Although the temporary file is located on a local disk, it is opened using the UNC network path representation of the file path. As Windows internally resolves UNC path names using network components, opening the temporary file may take some time in case of network problems (minutes). If the time needed to open the file exceeds the value specified for commtimeout option on the TSM server, the recall fails.
Local fix
(a) Increase the commtimeout on the TSM server. (b) Try to fix the Windows network problems.
