Significance of "Availability Monitor/Inventory Monitor Relog Interval"

Question & Answer

Question

What is the the significance of "Availability Monitor/Inventory Monitor Relog Interval (Hours)" attribute in GIV> Inventory Rules Screen, Monitor Rules?

Answer

This attribute is considered by the Availability and Inventory Monitor agents.
The Inventory Monitor runs at pre-defined (scheduled) intervals. Once an exception is raised by the monitor, the same should not be raised again unnecessarily during subsequent runs. Relog intervals control how soon after the previous exception the next exception should be triggered.
