Error description

• On Linux platform with KAIO, any read and write failure can go
  unnoticeable by Informix. The IO failure will not reflect in the
  online.log and Informix will not bring chunks off-line, which
  could lead to data corruption and other problems.
  

Local fix

• This can be observed only with KAIO enabled. If you turn off
  KAIO it might provide a temporary solution, but this can have
  unwanted effects on the I/O performance.
