Error description
When there exists a VLAN sub interface mapped to an ethernet interface without a configured IP address, the ethernet interface will fail to come up after disabling and enabling it. The ethernet interface will be enabled but show a 'down' state and the associated VLAN sub interface will not be responsive. A review of the system log will show: [network][error] interface(eth1): tid(1204048): Operational state transition to up occured with errors [Code 1FD] [mgmt][error] interface(eth1): tid(1204048): Operation state transition to up failed
Local fix
Restart the appliance and the interface will become active and responsive.
Problem summary
Fixed problem where non-configured IP address for an interface can result in attempting to set an IP address from non-initialized memory
Problem conclusion
The fix will be in 3.7.3.15, 3.8.0.9 & 3.8.1.7
