Troubleshooting
Problem
If you modify a newly created custom property on an Intelligent Management web server, the expected change does not take effect dynamically in the plug-in.
Symptom
The symptoms vary according to the specific custom property. For example, although you set DefaultRequestTraceSpec to increase request tracing, the custom property does not dynamically increase request tracing.
Resolving The Problem
To ensure that the Intelligent Management web server plug-in dynamically picks up custom property changes, the custom property must exist in the WebSphere configuration file before the web server starts. During the web server initialization, the Intelligent Management plug-in registers for subsequent dynamic custom property changes. The web server initialization process uses the values in the plugin-cfg.xml configuration file. If a specific custom property exists in the plugin-cfg.xml file, you can make subsequent dynamic changes to this custom property.
