How do I restore a configuration backup onto my Guardium appliance?

Question & Answer

Question

How do I restore a configuration backup onto my Guardium appliance?

Answer

Restoring system configuration can only be done through CLI from a System Backup.

1. Log into CLI and run command 'restore system'
2. Choose 1 of the 5 choices relating to how you want to retrieve your backup.
3. Work through these following prompts:
- Enter the backup host (where the backup is stored)
- Enter the backup host username
- Enter the remote directory (directory where the backup file is stored on the host)
- Enter the remote file name (file name may use wildcard *)
- Enter the password for <user>@<host>
- Enter the SCP port if you need to use a special port.
4. The system will now download available backups with the filename specified. If you used a wildcard here, the system will download all backup files available from the directory specified.
5. Choose the backup you wish to restore from the list.
6. Choose restore type.
7. Let the system restore run.
